Welcome!
I retired from the Arizona Historical Society and have been an author editor for Rio Nuevo Publishers since 2009. Now I give talks for senior living communities, clubs, and conventions, combining interesting facts from Arizona's unique history with humorous anecdotes.
Click here for a list of 50 Arizona history topics, I give talks about, many with PowerPoint images.

Qualifying groups pay only $100 for my talks anywhere in the state through the Arizona Humanities. Click the title above for more info.

I'm currently working on a second edition of my first book, Arizona, a Celebration of the Grand Canyon State. It has at least 25% more history than the first book plus updates and even a few corrections (oops!)
The manuscript is finished and we've found lots more fascinating historic photos but we can't go to press until COVID fades away into history. I'll keep you posted on how it's going. ;-)
I retired from the Arizona Historical Society in February 2009 and went to work the following week as an editor for Rio Nuevo Publishers. Caroline Cook and I wrote the text for this book in 2010 and I helped find the photographers for the amazing pictures. See for yourself!
